As a school, we follow Oak National Academy for maths. It follows the NCETMs curriculum prioritisation materials. Within the document below, there is an overview for each year group that is then broken down further into explaining what content is included in each unit.

Mastering Number
From Reception to Year 2 we use the NCETM's Mastering Number resources to teach and secure our children's knowledge and understanding of the additive relationship. These sessions form our main maths lesson in Reception and happen in addition to our main maths session in KS1. In KS2 we use the NCETM's Mastering Number Resources to consolidate the additive relationship (year 3) and teach the multiplicative relationship (year 4-6) to automaticity. Termly overviews of content are included below.

Multiplication Tables Check:
The multiplication tables check (MTC) is statutory for all year 4 pupils registered at state-funded maintained schools, special schools or academies, including free schools, in England.
The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently up to 12, through a set of 25 timed questions. This skill is essential for future success in mathematics, and the check will help schools identify pupils who have not yet mastered this and provide additional support.
We also use TT Rockstars in school to help children practise their times tables. If you would like to know your child's log in details, please get in touch with their class teacher.
